Who is behind this
Last January I had about a week to renew my license before a flight off island, and I needed it to rent a car when I landed. The soonest appointment I could find was over a month out.
That is when I found out the appointments were not actually gone. People cancel constantly, the slots reopen, and they get taken within minutes by whoever happens to be refreshing at the right moment.
So I wrote something that watches for them and books one when it opens. I ran it for friends and family first, at no charge, and enough of them kept asking that I turned it into this.
